Access routes map of the Province of TucumánThe main roads in the province are: National Road 38, National Road 9 and Provincial Road 301.

National Road 9 enters Tucumán from Santiago del Estero and after crossing the capital it heads towards the north up to the province of Salta.

National Road 38 enters through the Catamarca boundary in the town of La Viña and crosses the territory of the province starting in the plains through the capital, past the cities of Juan B. Alberdi, Aguilares, Concepción, Monteros, Famaillá and Lules.

Provincial Road 301 heads towards the south-east through Bella Vista and then becomes Road 157 going past Río Colorado, Simoca, Monteagudo, Lamadrid, Taco Ralo, up to the boundary with Santiago del Estero in San Pedro de Guasayán.

Other provincial roads link the capital with the inland of the province. The most significant one, from the point of view of tourism, is 307, which leads to the Valles Calchaquíes.
