EL CADILLAL - CELESTINO GELSI DAM

It is said to be the most suitable place for a steady flow of tourists, the practice of sports and camping. The dam is 16 miles (26 km) north of the city and the access road is asphalted.

With its distinctive beauty, the lake covers 3,459 acres (14 km2) and is 7 miles (11 km) long in its widest diameter; the area is mountainous, since the last spurs of Modine reach up to it.

Sports practices with motor-boating festivals and exhibitions of water ski of a national relevance concentrate the general interest. These are also a magnificent setting for the atherine fishing. Several restaurants and sports clubs offer facilities for tourists and visitors.
