Acheral, in the Monteros department, the landscape begins transforming. Slowly
but steadily, the plain becomes a jungle of thick vegetation which mostly covers
the banks of Los Sosa River, accompanying the traveler along the whole route reaching
heights over 6,500 ft. (2,000 m).
