LAGUNA DEL TESORO

It is within the Cochuna Provincial Park 5,577 ft. (1,700 m) above sea level, at the feet of the central Nevados del Aconquija. You can usually gain access to the lagoon on foot or on horseback, at km. # 52 of the Cuesta del Clavillo and you can also get there through the bridge of Cochuna river.

This place is extremely beautiful. The lagoon is surrounded by high, notably colorful mountains with thick vegetation reflecting on the water. In winter, the neighboring meadows and summits are covered with snow.

The Cochuna Park are crossed with a vast fluvial network, originating in these summits, where trout abounds. The lagoon is also attractive for fishermen, since they can catch splendid atherines there.
