Form of Government. Organization.

The province of Tucumán is under the rule of the Provincial Constitution approved in 1990.

It is constitutionally organized by means of three branches: Executive branch, the Legislative and the Judiciary.

The province has 19 municipalities administered by an Executive branch represented by a citizen in the capacity of Mayor and a City Council. They are elected through direct vote in their corresponding districts.
